E-Bike Policy

E-bikes are becoming increasingly popular, and we’re here to help riders get the most out of their experience. However, not all e-bikes are created equal, and our service policy is designed to ensure safety, reliability, and the best possible support for our customers.

At Gung Ho Bikes, we service and support e-bikes from brands we sell (Specialized and Aventon) and other reputable brands that meet industry standards.

 Unfortunately, many internet-purchased e-bikes can be cumbersome, difficult to repair, or lack available replacement parts, making service challenging.

E-Bike Tube Change Pricing

Changing a tire on an e-bike can be more complex than on a traditional bike, especially for models with hub motors. Due to the extra time and effort required, we have a set labor rate for these services:

 Standard Hub Motor Tire Change: $50 labor
Additional Labor Fees: If the wheel or motor design makes the tube change more challenging, labor costs may increase. 

We will assess the difficulty and provide a quote before proceeding.

Battery Safety Policy – No Overnight Storage

For the safety of our staff, customers, and shop, we do not keep e-bike batteries overnight. While e-bikes are a great way to ride farther and faster, e-bike batteries come with certain risks—especially when charging, storing, or if they are damaged.

Your safety is our priority, and we appreciate your understanding as we follow best practices for handling e-bike batteries responsibly. If you have any questions, feel free to ask our team!
